Known as a peripheral and industrial area, a tissue of small towns, the Brianza area is here painted in its more intimate vision, somehow far away from the common image of wealth and prosperity.

In the alternation of commercial and natural landscapes, the white light typical of this place reveals "characters" out of the time. The mountains, mentioned in the title, geographically make up the northern boundary of this territory. Never portrayed, they are an invisible limit, a metaphor of a border which includes a latent feeling of suspension.
