Forgetting

Forgetting (Vol 1.) is the the prototype for an investigation into the rapidly changing face of Portland, Maine - a place with a history remembered fondly by the locals, but forgotten by those from away. With the advent of a host of new residents, climate change, and big money - the city is changing rapidly. Having lived away for most of my adult life, I frequently find myself at a loss for the face of the Portland that I remember from my youth - and now seek to reconcile myself with the place as it is.

This first outing is a book of six 11x14" silver gelatin fiber prints - wet printed without a reference - then bound in a book by hand.
