As Longas

“As Longas is an older brick factory in Xunqueira de Espadanedo (Ourense), which ceased operations in the 90s. To one side is a field littered with broken bricks; part of a mound that was on its margins where production failures was accumulated. These bricks stand out today on the bare grass that feeds about twenty cows in the area. Activating them, piling them up to enhance their fragility and instability, becomes a last gesture that makes them resurface from the deposit where they rest.” Words that explain this work from the hand of the author, Lois Cid (Ourense, 1993).
