Fear of Fall

The arrival of autumn is inevitable. Autumn makes impermanence visible and palpable. The chaos of the leaves on the newly laid stones prepares the ground for the fear of decay. A contagious emotion. Like a weed, it grows rampant among the interstices of our daily existence. The feeling that in the future we will never do as well as we do now. The awareness that we may have already passed the peak and are losing control.
