Santos Álvarez León (Algeciras / España, 1972).
Photography has always been in my life and for the last few years an essential part of my life.
It has became a shelter where I can order my emotions and feelings.
I take my camera everywhere I go and I take photos of situations that tickle my heart.
The work I am presenting in Fiebre Photobook Market is a street photography zine called “ Half a Melon” and it is the result of playing with the instinct and let myself flow with the rhythm of the street.

“Half a Melon” is a street photography zine that plays with images through diptychs creating single stories which work together using shapes and colours with humor and irony.
It is like opening a melon you never know how it is going to be.

Special edition dedicated to the adventures of a woman who was chosen by destiny to reign.
Elizabeth Alexandra May Windsor became a universal icon known all over the world by the common people.
With this work we are not trying to promote the image of a queen, a privileged figure in the public eye, we just wish to explain with humour the bubble she lived in, which has nothing to do with the way we live our real, unmajestic lives.
