'Ruiz explores the tiny details that make us experience the warmth of these bodies, in a synesthesia of vision and tact, pleasure and hedonism.'

Andrés Senra

'In awe and wonder' is an expression associated with the feeling of admiration produced by religious zeal and by the contemplation of nature.  We also experience this ecstasy during the most intimate moments of our sexual life, while watching a body we desire or by the touch of its skin.

This book includes a series of images taken over the last six years. These pictures show gay male sexuality with a hedonistic approach, with several men taking pleasure in other bodies and their own, in public and private places. The scenes are inspired by film language and they follow the tradition of artists such as Ryan McGinley, Francesca Woodman and Arthur Tress, with submission as a leitmotiv against the usual representation of a dominant masculinity.
