Hybrid book of poetry (created from my dream diary) and photographic collage.

When Virginia Woolf wrote A room of one´s own she asked herself a question: what do women need to write good novels?  A single answer: economic and personal independence, that is, a room of your own.

A tour of that internal space that we need to access in order to create.

Cal viva is his first collection of poems, a diary of dreams. He has been collecting and collecting them for years. Many of his works are made from his dream world.

THE SHADOW

It is a drift in a forest.

The entrance into the thickness of that internal forest body.

A territory in which we do not want to enter and we arrive without realizing it. The darkness from which we will only emerge if we are able to enter inside.

The Shadow is a series of photographs taken in the Horta-Guinardo Park in Barcelona.

Fanzine poster made from the book Method to lose weight of the 60s bought in the Tepico market in Mexico City.

I select the images from the manual where the woman uses books as weights. I intervene by sewing them with a thread of Ariadne. Culture will make women freer.

I propose one of the lists of personal progress instead of working different parts of the body such as arms, thighs replaced by others such as: liberation, create, valuation (different attributes that women need to feel to get rid of body and social stereotypes built by the beauty ideals of the white middle class woman of the 60s).

I also propose to cross out words (seductive, thin, attraction, husband) in one of the manifestos where the woman is blamed for not staying attractive enough for the husband to want her.

Photobook that makes a reinterpretation from poetry and collage to Hannah Arendt's treatise "On Violence".

Photographs taken in family homes and abandoned spaces from 2009-2020.

The ruins are us, they are pieces of the body, folds, limbs, that build our identity. The passage of time leaves traces and we can tell our story from the spaces.

The book is a visual journey where the images dialogue with each other forming a story without texts.

As additional material there is an essay of poetic prose by the poet Jesús Aguado and fragments of my diary.
