Pequeño mar

Pequeño mar was born in CASA, a photography school directed by Pablo Casino and Ricardo Cases, where it was agreed to carry out an individual project for each student but with a common theme: L’Albufera de Valencia. This project was formed based on numerous visits and walks throughout the year through the western part of L’Albufera, especially in the terms of Catarroja and Silla, and to the south in Sollana. Due to the repetition of routes, passing in almost all those visits through the same places, I managed to make an “annual” portrait of the lake landscape reflecting the variations that modify it at different seasons of the year.

For me, as an author, it was a discovery. Being Valencian, I had never known L’Albufera beyond the viewpoint on the El Saler road and now I have had the opportunity to observe both the beauty of the natural park and the humility of its general landscape. And that is precisely what I have tried to portray in my Pequeño mar. The book is made up of thirteen photographic series, a text by Esther García Llovet that accompanies them accordingly, and a package that groups everything designed by Diego March.
