Reconstrucción

Rosana Simonassi (Argentina), reconstructs cases involving the death of women who acquired transcendence thanks to the registration and publication in the media of the occasion of their death. In Reconstrucción, she questions both the violence of the media that throws the image of the body into the public domain, and the morbid fascination of those who, horrified, reject and consume it at the same time.
The book also proposes a tension between the desire to observe the photographed female corpse and the impossibility of doing so completely.
The stripping of the materials used evokes the disaffection and sordidness contained in the original publication and refers to the veiled and inaccessible nature of death.
