Marta Soul – Museo Reina Sofía Libray

Pioneering format halfway between book, music, and performance. It is like a DJ session, but with photography books, teaching and mixing books to create a ‘story’, inviting the public to feel and enjoy them. This classic Fiebre, was created by our colleague Bonifacio Barrio Hijosa in 2013.

In this second session, the visual creator Marta Soul invites us to imagine through the wide vocabulary of photographs and ideas that transmit the photobooks of authors related to her artistic concerns. From the visual language linked to cliché and stereotype, to a poetic reading of the image shown in small gestures, full of depth and sensitivity.

This selection of photobooks belongs to the Biblioteca del Museo Reina Sofía. The collection brings together a varied selection that spans from the beginnings of the photobook in the 1920s and 1930s to the present day. Focused on specialized research in contemporary art, its main objective is to facilitate access to its collections and holdings for researchers, students, technical staff of the Museum and anyone interested.

Press play and immerse yourself in its imaginary ;)
