Fiebre Photobook Fest 2025
From September 26 to 28, 2025, La Casa Encendida will once again host the long-awaited reunion for photobook lovers.
Since 2013, Fiebre Photobook Fest has contributed to the dissemination and appreciation of the photobook as a product of great cultural interest, giving visibility to the wide variety of editorial lines, a reflection of the rich local and international production.
The specialized photobook fair will be the main axis, a meeting point where editors and artists distribute their work and connect with new audiences.
In parallel, open and free activities will be organized to encourage the exchange and creation of new networks, offering visitors the unique experience of discovering and exploring this great universe.
The call to participate in the fair is aimed at professionals who use the photobook as a means of artistic expression or work on its dissemination. The deadline is April 7, do you dare?

What is Fiebre Photobook?
Fiebre Photobook is an independent platform for photobooks that includes a festival, an international award and a virtual portal to boost the sector throughout the year. Since 2013, ten editions of the festival have taken place in Madrid, two in Barcelona and one in online format, due to the limitations of the pandemic in 2020.
Who can participate in the Fair?
Fiebre Photobook focuses on the photobook, in its broadest sense, welcoming all kinds of proposals such as fanzines, magazines, newspapers, artist books, catalogues… of national and international scope.
How long will the call be open?
The call for applications will be open until Monday, April 7. The official announcement of the selected participants will be made public on Wednesday, April 20.
Will a selection be made?
The Fiebre team will make a selection, together with the La Casa Encendida team, in order to show a varied vision that represents the constantly evolving publishing landscape.
Can I participate online?
All participants in the fair will have their own virtual space, through which the new institutional acquisition mechanism will be channeled. The virtual platform will also offer the possibility of participating exclusively online, giving the option of showing and selling publications from anywhere in the world.
What can I display on my table?
It will be essential that all publications are for sale, as there will be other specific formats to display them. Printed publications will be the main focus, although participants will be able to sell special editions with copies or merchandising.

Purpose of the call
The purpose of this call is to select the publishers, authors, groups and professionals who will participate in the specialized photobook fair, the central axis of the 12th edition of Fiebre Photobook Fest, which will be held at La Casa Encendida (Madrid) from September 26 to 28, 2025.
Who can participate
The following may apply for the call:
- Independent publishers dedicated to the publication of photobooks.
- Authors who use the photobook as a means of artistic or documentary creation.
- Collectives, distributors and alternative publishing projects linked to the photobook.
- Professionals and agents in the sector whose work is related to the dissemination, sale or preservation of the photobook.
Participation modalities
The selected participants will be able to participate in three modalities, adapted to different profiles and needs:
- Individual exhibition table (large or small):
Physical space where participants will be able to exhibit and sell their publications, exchange ideas and connect directly with the public and other professionals in the sector. Each selected participant will be able to choose between two table sizes, according to their needs. - Collective table:
Space managed by Fiebre Photobook and El Local for the sale of self-published publications. In this modality, the authors do not need to be physically present, since the festival team will be in charge of the exhibition and sale of the selected publications. - Online table:
Exclusive participation through the Fiebre Photobook online platform, where the selected publications will be available for consultation and sale, thus expanding their visibility at a national and international level.
Selection criteria
The selection committee, made up of the Fiebre Photobook Fest team and La Casa Encendida, will evaluate:
- The quality, originality and editorial coherence of the publications.
- The conceptual or artistic proposal that supports the project.
- The interest of the editorial line within the current context of the photobook.
- The diversity and representativeness of the selected projects, both in terms of formats and approaches and geographical origins.
Submission deadline
The call for applications will be open until 7 April 2025 at 23:59h (Spanish peninsular time). Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
How to participate
Applications must be sent through an online form available on the official Fiebre Photobook Fest website.
Each application must include:
- Exhibitor and contact person details (name, surname, email, phone number, city and country).
- Brief description of the editorial line (max. 150 characters) and approximate number of publications to be submitted.
- Link to website and Instagram profile, if available.
Participation conditions
- The organization will provide an exhibition space for each selected participant.
- Participants will be responsible for the logistics and transportation of their publications.
- Those selected agree to be present throughout the fair (September 26-28, 2025).
- Participation in the fair entails the payment of a registration fee, which will be detailed to each selected participant once their participation has been confirmed.
- The organization reserves the right to use images and descriptions of the selected projects for the promotion and dissemination of Fiebre Photobook Fest XII.
Resolution
The list of selected participants will be published on the Fiebre Photobook Fest website and interested parties will be notified by email before April 20, 2025.
Acceptance of the bases
Participation in the call implies full acceptance of these rules. Any circumstance not foreseen in these rules will be resolved by the organization.
