Anvers 1996 Valparaiso is a logbook about the author's return from France to Chile after his family’s exile due to the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. The journey takes place aboard the Polish cargo ship KRAKÓW II. The voyage begins at the port of Antwerp, passing through Spain, Haiti, Panama, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru until reaching the port of Valparaiso in Chile. Publishing this book 28 years after the journey is to carry the stories of the depth of time to make memory an action of the present.
