Cristóbal Hara's photographic language has evolved from a clear documentary approach, in the best Bresonian tradition of the ‘decisive moment’, to reducing reality to fiction, through an inner journey in which he has even changed techniques and media.

After years of photographing festivals in small villages across Spain, Hara has moved from black and white to colour, from impeccably composed frames to creating an entirely personal language based on theoretically incorrect images that convey a resounding and direct emotion, free from the constraints of styles and rules.
