Lances de Aldea
Cristóbal Hara
Photovisión
This is the first book in which Cristóbal Hara publishes his color photography work. Moving away from conventional photojournalism, Hara uses his own fragmented and subjective visual language to explore everyday life in rural Spain. The work does not seek to document tradition from a nostalgic or traditionalist perspective, but rather captures local rituals and idiosyncrasies through unexpected angles that give the scenes an almost fantastical and deeply psychological atmosphere. With this title, Hara consolidated his style, transforming the reality of the village into a stage, creating raw and vibrant compositions that have gradually redefined the aesthetics of contemporary documentary photography in Spain.
