Contemporary photography offers the possibility of raising awareness and elevating important social issues that are currently buried beneath the interests of others.

It is in this sense that the photographer, as an author and a subject conscious of the context in which they are immersed, can generate compelling narratives through images, allowing us to continue resisting the fierce force of time, power, and the everyday.

In this third edition, Letargo Magazine invites you to reflect on and consider photography from this perspective; from the point of convergence between the critical social scenarios that today exert pressure in the face of imminent oblivion and the tide of information that, instead of keeping us aware of everything around us, clouds and overwhelms us:

The photography of Marcos Zegers as a starting point for this edition and a point of encounter with the environmental crises in our country from a human and social perspective.

The work of Celeste Rojas as an exercise in memory in the face of the relativization of a dictatorship that still festers in our hearts.
