This photobook is for anyone who has ever wondered about families. Its creation has been an intentional encounter with queerness, racialization, and migration. At the heart of these questions lies the author's German-Filipino and queer identity, shaped by growing up in Spain and her close bond with her uncle Nelly. Throughout 160 pages, Fux invites us to be part of a visual and written archive that encompasses the joys, but also the perennial problems, of her communities. From the 1980s to 2021, portraying everything that is Same Same, but Different.
An invitation to the personal archive of Anna Fux and her Filipino uncle Tito Nelly about their two chosen families that intersect race, migration, and queerness in Spain.
