Continuing along the lines begun in El porqué de las naranjas (The Reason for Oranges), Ricardo Cases once again explores a cliché of the Levantine coast. Approaching his task as a child's game of pretending to be the sun, the author immerses himself in the blinding light of the Levantine summer in search of its essence, allowing himself to be carried away by sensations and questioning the way in which the sun determines local identity, aesthetics and economy.
