The Pigs

The financial media has coined the term PIGS to refer to the weakest countries in the eurozone: Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Spain. It is a pejorative expression that comes from the Anglo-Saxon corner of the ring.

How did Spain, the empire where the sun never set, end up like this? What happened to Italy, home to a large part of humanity's artistic heritage? What happened to Greece, the cradle of Western civilization? What led Portugal to lose all hope for the future, after having dominated the seas for centuries?

The Pigs is a tragicomic look at the clichés, deserved or not, that the countries of southern Europe have to live with. A vision halfway between caricature and harsh reality, it shows the remains of the slow shipwreck of the cradle of Europe through the eyes of a cruel economist.
