This is an object book that is thought inwards. The earth is felt on the black pages sewn in the Japanese style. The passing of the leaves symbolizes the movement of earth carried out by the guaqueros in search of the gem. A black crystal attached to the first pages invites you to delve into the pages, tearing one by one, to trace a portion of land through the use of intonso, and find the images that will lead you on an initiation journey towards the search for the flower of rock, which for centuries the indigenous muzos have considered something sacred.

The emerald has been very present throughout the history of Colombia, dragging with it both sorrows and joys from pre-Hispanic times until today. Its mountains, dwellings of the gods according to the beliefs of the indigenous muzos, shelter the emerald inside and act as a vehicle towards a unique experience, and that is that according to popular legends that moment of encounter with the stone is surrounded by an enigma. Ana Núñez's photographs reflect that mystery, that aura of dreaminess that is still present among the guaqueros of Boyacá, who practice artisanal mining in the mountains of the Colombian Andes.

This is a poetic book about the hidden condition of the landscape where the ephemeral and the constant search for the emerald lead us to highlight popular beliefs and feel for a moment the hidden power of the rock flower.
