Jhon is a small artist book published in 2019 by Editora Fotolab Linaibah in an edition of 30 copies. The photographs were taken during 2018 and 2019 in various locations in the Peruvian Amazon.
The design by Lina Ibanez is very versatile because it allows one to tell John's story in multiple ways depending on how one unfolds the pages of this fanzine. The design of the pages brings this fanzine very close to the origami figure that folds to take one shape or another. This is a very good example of how one can narrate in a creative way using the paper in play with the images, the editing of the sequence was done by Caio Siqueira.
In relation to the sequence of images, there is also an interesting element in the delicate way the body, matter and landscape are balanced in this publication. Everything leads to the construction of a very intimate portrait of this adonis named John.
