You've never seen anything like this is at once an art book full of visual cross-references, a research on the history of graphics in Colombia, a typographic specimen and a visual delight. Apart from that, it includes two original typefaces for download (free) that are part of the Avante PTP Typographic Family and a facsimile of the mythical comic La gran mancha roja, a 1949 publication produced during the government of Mariano Ospina Pérez in which a very particular vision is given about the Bogotazo, the event that marked a change in the history of Colombia due to the assassination of leader Jorge Eliecer Gaitán and the beginning of the Violence.
This is undoubtedly a book that plays a lot with the references of the country's graphic history, juxtaposing periods, styles and genres in a very creative way. An attentive reader will be able to recognize the innumerable furious representations of the revolts and uprisings, illustrated by Italian artist Rinaldo Scandroglio between the pages.
